The history of SC Group started on 9 May 1991, when the leading enterprise of SG Group – the road construction company “Saldus ceļinieks” was established.
The company turnover during the first five years of its activity is equal to one-day turnover ~50.000 Ls. As a consequence the company has also started to carry on woodworking. In order to export sawn wood, a structural unit was created for international transportations, which was transformed into SIA "SC Transports" – subsidiary company of "Saldus ceļinieks" in 2005.
In 2004, “Saldus ceļinieks” founded a land surveying company “Mērnieks J” LTD and purchased a controlling interest of Talsi road construction company “Talce” LTD.
In 2005, the international shipment division became a subsidiary company of “Saldus ceļinieks” LTD, “SC Transports” LTD.
In 2006, Saldus ceļinieks founded two more road construction companies - "SC Kuldīga" LTD and "SC Dobele" LTD.
In 2008, all six companies changed their corporative status and became SC Group.
